Network Automation Starter
Network Programmability and Automation by Jason Edelman, Scott S. Lowe & Matt Oswalt.
If you are wondering about what Network Automation really is, and where are we going with this, I highly recommend you to check out this great book. If you don’t have time, at least go through it, it’s easy to read, even if you go jumping between chapters you will find interesting things. And if you are really into starting the journey of network automation, this is the perfect book to start with.
The authors created an amazing review of how things are and gonna be in the field of networking. But don’t worry, this is not the typical book which starts with the boring part of what is a switch and how it works. This book goes straight to the point of Network Automation with theory and practice (if you want to do it), while introducing new or adopted components from the software development world.
You will see a practical showcase of how we get to the term “network to code”. Which in the end you may think you are not using it today at the company you are working, but trust me, sooner or later you will, and in fact, you are already using it at the cloud infrastructure you may already be consuming.
